Let the party begin!
Birthday Fun
My Brayden is over 3 years old now! Amazing how time flies. I had every intention of getting on here earlier in the week and posting on his actual birthday, but I spent that day being Mommy instead :)!
Having had a child already, I realize now how fast time really does go by, especially when it comes to your kids! I wish I could go back and relive every day of the three years that have already passed in our Brayden's life. Just like he has gone from this itty bitty baby that couldn't do anything by himself to a little boy who is his own little person, I feel like he has taught us equally as much as he has learned these last few years. He has taught us a whole new kind of love, a whole new depth of love, lessons in what life is really about, lessons in treasuring the small moments, lessons in patience, in parenting, and the list goes on and on. We couldn't love him any more than we do and really couldn't imagine our lives without him. I am so blessed to call him our firstborn, our baby boy, and so blessed that God entrusted us with him!
We rang his actual birthday this year in in total casual style. After a crazy, packed full, really fun birthday weekend, we celebrated his birthday by sleeping in, playing with his birthday toys, having breakfast for dinner, and eating a cupcake, and a trip to feed the ducks down by the lake. I loved how low key and mellow his day was but how excited he was that it was his birthday and that he was finally three.
More details on his party fun to come, but geeze, I really can't believe he is THREE already!! Happy belated birthday to our one and only B-ray!
